New York State Insider: 2024 Election Desk: New York State Senator Pete Harckham 40th District: The Sierra Club Has Endorsed My Re-Election Campaign!

 

This week the Sierra Club Atlantic Chapter announced that it has endorsed my campaign for re-election to the New York State Senate.   In its endorsement, the Sierra Club recognized my “strong support for the environment” and “proven track record on environmental issues.”   Ed Berry, the Sierra Club’s political director, said,

“The Sierra Club is proud of its role in the environmental process and wholeheartedly extends our support for your campaign…”   Back in April, I received the endorsement of the New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV). Julie Tighe, president of NYLCV, noted that I was “committed to protecting our environment and public health…” and had “supported policies that improve water infrastructure and remove toxins from the environment.”   While I am proud of what I have been able to accomplish, there is more to be done.   Thank you.
