New York State Insider: STATEMENT FROM NYS CONSERVATIVE PARTY.

STATEMENT ON SHOOTING AT 345 PARK AVENUE: NEW YORK STATE CONSERVATIVE PARTY CHAIRMAN GERARD KASSAR.

“The New York State Conservative Party extends its most heartfelt prayers and condolences to the family of New York City Police Officer Didarul Islam, the families of the other innocent victims killed in Monday night’s horrific attack, and to the individual still fighting for life in the hospital. This mass shooting occurred in the center of Manhattan, reflecting just how dangerous our world has become.

“New Yorkers need to seriously ponder who their next mayor will be. They need to think long and hard about potentially electing an unabashed anti-cop candidate in Zohran Mamdani. If Mr. Mamdani were elected, he would have direct control over the NYPD - an agency he publicly despises. That cannot work in a city like New York.

“Today is a day for both prayers and reflection. This city needs to think long and hard about what it’s going to do in 13 weeks.”

NEW YORK STATE CONSERVATIVE PARTY: GOV. HOCHUL’S HAPLESS GRAB FOR POWER HITS A WALL.

Brooklyn, NY - Governor Kathy Hochul has once again proven why she’s earned the title of the worst governor in America: Her latest stunt—an illegal, unconstitutional scheme to re-reapportion New York’s congressional districts—is nothing more than a desperate bid to stay relevant in the national political spotlight, the New York State Conservative Party today charged.

“The State Constitution couldn’t be clearer: you can’t just rewrite congressional maps whenever it suits your political whims,” said New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar. “Governor Hochul knows this. But she’s betting she can shop her guaranteed losses through the lower courts until her hand-picked Court of Appeals gifts her the ruling she wants. It’s the very definition of corruption dressed up as governance.”

Gov. Hochul’s push to rejigger congressional lines follows her equally outrageous attempt to move over 4,000 elections statewide to even-numbered years—an obvious ploy to dilute voter power and tilt the field for her party.

“It’s the same tired playbook,” Mr. Kassar said. “When Mrs. Hochul can’t win the argument, she changes the rules. When she can’t change the rules, she changes the referees. It’s Tammany Hall politics with a modern, hapless twist.”

But even if Gov. Hochul could find a way around the Constitution, she faces another immovable obstacle Mr. Kassar noted: the law requires supermajority approval from both chambers of the Legislature. That means bipartisan agreement—a political reality that simply doesn’t exist.

The Governor’s deep unpopularity is no mystery. Her poll numbers have been consistently underwater, with unfavorable ratings between 53% and 58%. She’s now facing whispers of a primary challenge from within her own party—a remarkable indictment of her failed leadership.

“Ask a prison guard, a National Guard member, or any family watching their communities unravel under open-border policies, sanctuary state madness, while billions are wasted on benefits for illegal aliens,” Kassar said. “They’ll tell you exactly why she’s drowning in distrust.”

NEW YORK STATE CONSERVATIVE PARTY DEMANDS END OF TAX-EXEMPT STATUS FOR SANCTUARY GROUPS PROMOTING ILLEGALITY

Brooklyn, NY — The New York State Conservative Party today called on federal and state authorities to immediately strip tax-exempt status from the sanctuary organizations that collectively received more than $600 million in taxpayer dollars—according to The New York Post—while actively working to undermine federal immigration law.

“Based on their support for individuals operating in the U.S. illegally, these groups are effectively working as criminal organizations -- on the taxpayer dime,” said State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar. “These groups must be publicly identified and stripped of their tax-exempt status. Taxpayer dollars are being used to break federal and state laws. There must be accountability.

These aren’t charitable nonprofits—they’re taxpayer-paid political radicals,” continued Chairman Kassar. “If you’re taking taxpayer money to defy our laws, you’re not entitled to the courtesy of tax exemption—and you ought to be hauled into court if not prison.

“They’ve been using the cloak of charity to wage a political war against our federal system,” Mr. Kassar said. “It’s time to end this lawlessness.”

Statement from New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar on Passage of the 'Big Beautiful Bill’

“The New York State Conservative Party applauds President Trump and Republicans in Congress for passing bold legislation that will root out billions of dollars in federal waste and provide tax relief to millions of Americans, including social security recipients whose buying power was devoured by President Biden’s rapacious inflationary policies.

“Renewing and expanding the Trump tax cuts isn’t just smart policy — it’s common sense. These cuts will give millions of Americans the breathing room they need.

“At the same time, this plan roots out hundreds of billions in waste and bureaucratic mismanagement — the kind of Washington nonsense taxpayers are sick of funding. It protects the safety net for those who truly depend on it while creating new opportunities for millions more to rise. This is what responsible governance looks like — not more spending, not more red tape, but a government that works for the people, not the other way around.”

New York State Insider: STATEMENT FROM NYS CONSERVATIVE PARTY.

STATEMENT ON 2025 PRIMARIES FROM NEW YORK STATE CONSERVATIVE PARTY CHAIRMAN GERARD KASSAR.

“The Conservative Party had a successful Primary Day, but everyone, obviously, wants to talk about the Democratic Primary in New York City last night in which Socialist Zohran Mamdani prevailed. It should have come as no surprise: The Democratic Party has been sliding toward Socialism for years. Anyone brave enough to have endured the New York City Democratic mayoral debates could plainly see where the party of Jackson has arrived. It is angry, it is radical, and it’s unmoored to all economic and social reality.

“So, now, the red flag of Socialism (and multi-color flag of transgenderism) may symbolically fly over both the United Nations and City Hall. This, in a city built on economic freedom and under the shadow of Lady Liberty's Bibles and torch. The ironies cut deeply, indeed. More will join the conservative side as their eyes open.

“The Conservative Party will do everything in its power to oppose Mr. Mamdani's candidacy and policies, but we will not feign shock at last night’s results. Socialist Zohran Mamdani is the New York Democratic Party, and that’s nothing new.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 18, 2025

Statement on End of State Legislative Session from New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar.

“Over the past six months, mega-spender Governor Kathy Hochul and the Democrat-controlled State Legislature have worked overtime—not for everyday New Yorkers, but to advance a radical left agenda in this state. This session was a masterclass in arrogance: record spending, coddling criminals, sanctuary city protections, and partisan election games. They pushed assisted suicide, attacked President Trump at every turn, and they continued to ram through congestion pricing and bloated programs no one asked for. This wasn’t governance—it was progressive performance art. The Conservative Party will continue to fight for the New York that Democrats are trying to erase.”

 IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 17, 2025

Attorney General James Condemns ICE Arrest of New York City Comptroller Brad Lander.

NEW YORK – New York Attorney General Letitia James today released the following statement after New York City Comptroller Brad Lander was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the federal courthouse at 26 Federal Plaza:

“This is profoundly unacceptable. Arresting Comptroller Lander for the simple act of standing up for immigrants and their civil rights is a shocking abuse of power. No one should face fear and intimidation in a courthouse, and this is a grotesque escalation of tensions. The administration’s rampant targeting of New Yorkers only makes our communities less safe.”
