Abinanti Supports Equal Rights Amendment.

Assemblymember Abinanti co-sponsors an Assembly version of an Equal Rights Amendment to the New York State Constitution which would ban discrimination on the basis of sex. But he is urging that the language be expanded to protect more New Yorkers. He supports expanding the Constitutional provision to include race, ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, and other groups that are discriminated against.
