Fernando Ferrer will chair the Tom Suozzi for Governor and Diana Reyna for Lt. Governor campaign.
Former Bronx Borough President Fernando Ferrer began the borough’s comeback and has been a leading voice of New York’s Latino population for more than 30 years.
He told folks last night: “Tom and Diana are the most qualified candidates to lead Democrats to victory in November. They are two only candidates strong enough to tackle the crime crisis, lower taxes, grow New York’s economy, fix our troubled schools and improve the lives of all New Yorkers.”
Both Freddie, a Puerto Rican American, and Diana, a Dominican American, demonstrate our campaign's recognition of the importance of the Latino community to our Democratic Party and the State.
At the State Convention, Latinos were excluded from participating in the events of the day. A last-minute attempt to include ‘token’ roles for Latinos backfired and angered many Democrats.
As a first generation American (my dad was born in Italy), I will do everything I can to ensure that the Democratic Party and our State Government looks like the people of New York State. Please help us!
Vamos seguir adelante juntos!
Let us move forward together!
Tom
