New York State Insider: New York State Assemblyman Tom Abinanti 92nd District: Abinanti Calls for Clinic Access Protection.

 

Several weeks ago, anti-abortion protestors invaded a women’s health clinic in White Plains. They harassed those who were in the waiting room seeking reproductive health care services. While New York State has broad, strong clinic access protections, Assemblymember Abinanti has introduced legislation to make those protections even stronger.  Westchester has no such protections. It’s been 11 years since the then-County Executive vetoed a bill Assemblymember Abinanti helped draft in the Westchester County Legislature to protect against such harassment. It’s time for the Westchester Legislature to pass a local version of clinic access protections for women.
